Overview

January 16 – March 21, 2015

The weavings and mixed media works in this exhibition open windows into stories of displacement, resilience and eventual progress in small communities on the outskirts of Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia.

Two related, but very different collections, reflect the universal experience of "desplazados"; people displaced from rural life, usually by poverty, often by violence, struggling to create a new life in burgeoning cities.
