10 sMote Park is a popular woodland walkway in County Roscommon. With the forest totaling 650 acres it provides habitats for many species including the Red Squirrel and the Pine Martian. The Mote Park area was once part of the Crofton Estate. The Crofton house was built in the late 18th century and was extended over the years. Although the house is now demolished the gate house, laundry house and stables still remain along with other features.
