Overview

This Red tour goes to the river and back, for some wildlife and plant hunting. Highlights include the rose garden and, in May, the beautiful handkerchief tree. If you are lucky, you might see a kingfisher or otter by the river. Follow the Red signs, and allow 40-60 minutes for the tour. Most of the route is suitable for wheelchairs, but there are steps at [3]. Opening hours: summer (mid-Feb to mid-Nov) 9am-6pm, and 9am-4.30pm in winter. T +353 1 857-0909 www.botanicgardens.ie
