From the first picture shows in the 1890s to the present day, Glasgow has been a special place for movies. In fact in the 1930s Glasgow had more cinemas per head of population than any other city in the world.

In this audio tour cinema historian Gordon Barr reveals hidden stories of cinemas past, and at each stop you will be asked to answer a question, or meet a challenge before moving on. Take as long as you like – or compete with friends to reach the last stop before they do.
