Student with a passion for hidden heritage
I am currently studying Landscape and Culture (MA) at The University of Nottingham.
I have a particular interest in the role blue plaques have in shaping people's identity and sense of belonging to a particular place. Having lived in Nottingham and Beeston for four years, I have noticed that there aren't many 'alternative' heritage sites, meaning those which are created by community-led projects, rather than official institutions such as English Heritage and Nottingham City Council.
I hope these trails help you discover that there is more to Nottingham than Robin Hood, lace, and two very talented figure skaters.
