Finish the tour at the Riverside Museum with a history of Glasgow's industrial past

Explore a brief tour of the history of transport in Glasgow - from ferries to steamers, railways to the Finnieston Crane. We can't cover everything in this tour but we thought we would pick out a few things on a route suitable for walking or cycling along and for physically distancing. We hope you enjoy - there is a lot of history on these routes and many are hidden away in plain sight!

Do you have a memory or know anything more about these routes? Please get in touch on as Doors Open Day Glasgow are looking for untold stories!

Pre-book the Riverside Museum or hire a NextBike in the 'Good to know' section.

These routes were created by Sustrans volunteers who have experience running guided cycle rides in the area and often do so outwith the current covid-19 pandemic.
Sustrans is the charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle. Sustrans Scotland is a key delivery partner of Transport Scotland, helping to deliver Scottish Government priorities.
